Notes	On LH 439/03feb we enjoyed a jet right from behind with 220kts in our A340-300 D-AIGA approaching a position abeam Boston at FL 330. To hit the record we temporarily increased to M.84 for a short time. Resulting GS was 721kts (see 1st picture) A short time later the windspeed increased to 236 kts (see 2nd picture ) but our track had changed and we had reduced our cruise mach number, so the resulting speed was lower. Thanks for the pictures to my SFO Hagen Gerlach, my camera did not work the way I wanted.
