I had recently purchased a portable O2 system, and with forecast
high winds at altitude, it seemed like the day to play. I went
up to 17500' and found some 80 knot winds in smooth air. I amused
myself with a 1 kt hover, then turned around for a Vno dive
with the tailwind.
For the purists, the level flight groundspeed was about 200
kts.
